show us your stuff

Our clients are in every industry - from education to arts orgs, family-owned businesses, influencers and speakers, to wellness providers and New York Times Best-Selling Authors.

On a given day, the deliverables can look like:

  • Building a Squarespace page or entire site

  • creating a TikTok

  • developing a directive for someone who wants to learn how to film an IG Reel

  • editing someone ELSE’s raw content for reels/TikTok

  • writing blog posts for SEO

  • ghostwriting for a publication

  • writing a podcast outline

  • building a super cool workflow for a client that wants to get organized

…and mostly a lot of being super creative and being able to let who you are play a huge role in the creative direction of a client’s deliverables.

There is also content creation drudgery, as always. We also do cross-channel ad placements, high-level API flow mapping, and geek out over Sprout integrations.

Positions are contractor-only (for now) - and begin at a max of five hours per week while we figure out together all of the places that your personality fits best. Our roles start at $30, depending on experience. Anyone who is legally allowed to work is qualified to apply.

SO. What chops should you have? Our standards are a little high - but that’s why our clients trust us.

> You should consider yourself “close to expert” level at how to write a post for every social media platform, work with Canva projects, have proficient concept of design, be very open to direction and feedback, but also very interested in sharing your own expertise and opinions on projects.

> Work should require little proofreading, and you should know the in’s and out’s of grammar. For example: you should firmly understand the difference between an American and British comma (or be willing to learn)!

> Must be willing to use (or learn to use) stupid and frustrating project management tools, like Asana.

> You can be a jack/jill of all trades OR specialize in something, for example, vertical video editing, social graphics, copywriting - or do a bit of everything.

To apply for our team, send an email to sara@personality-hire.com with three examples of any work you’ve done (on your own) that you think demonstrates your abilities surrounding any of the things mentioned above (or something cool you have to offer that is entirely different!).

Finally, find an op-ed or contributed article in any publication, written by an executive director of any organization. Pretend the organization where they work is your client, and you must share that story on the organization’s social media feeds. A mock Facebook post is fine. Make sure to use at least one hashtag, any url shortener, and keep the post to approximately 2 sentences (though you will not be evaluated on that factor alone).

A resume is cool, too - but we don’t really require those around here, the same way we don’t require degrees or like, your hair being a “natural color” - whatever that means.

We can’t wait to meet your personality!
